will the droid mini read my text messages to me

My son has a different droid phone and was telling me to set up my phone so that it reads my text messages to me (i.e. in the car).  He has set his up to announce when a new text has been received & it will read it to him.  Does the mini have the same function...I can't find it in the manual.

You can check under:

Settings>Language and input

There may be a Speech section where you can turn the feature on and off and edit it to fit your needs.

Thank you.  I found the answer on the Motorola forums - I use the "Assist" function on my phone.
