When i delete my e-mail from my phone it automatically deletes it from the computer at home where my husband is reading e-mail also. When I deleted all of the e-mails today and he went in there were no e-mails This did not happen with my blackberry. is there a work around?

With blackberry memory management was a constant issue. With android devices it isn't.
Think of it differently. Everything is on the cloud. If you delete from the cloud it is deleted from everywhere. Delete is delete, not remove from device. There is no remove crime device. The device handles that itself.

I personally love this feature. I just go in and delete the things from my phone that I know will not be of interest to my husband. You can always go to the trash folder and read the deleted messages before emptying the trash. They aren't truly gone until you empty that folder...anyway that is how my yahoo works. Good luck.

Thanks for the information everyone. I was able to locate some additional information that may help with your question
gallant8004. With the Droid 2 device you can have multiple email accounts and there is an option within your email account settings that can allow you to delete emails from the phone and server only or just the device. This option is not available for gmail accounts. I will list the steps below to change this email option on your phone.
1) Press the menu key
2) Press Settings
3) Press Accounts
4) Choose the email account in question
5) Press other settings within that email account
6) You can remove the check mark in the box next to the option that reads "Remove Manually Deleted Emails From the Server"
By removing the check mark next to this option, all emails you delete from your phone will remain on the server until you delete them. Once again, this option will not work on Gmail account.
