somehow youtube got linked to my google account and i can no longer sign in to youtube on my phone...it either wants to sign in with my gmail account which does not work or it wants my youtube user name @youtube which does not exist....whos bright idea was this....very frustrated please help

this is what also kept me out of market this morning...hard reset on my phone to clear it up... hours of getting my phone back like it was

You can try going to menu>settings>applications>storage use, scroll down to youtube, select clear data.  This should remove sign in data and you can redo it.  The same thing should work for the market.

demmo86rt wouldnt that be Settings / Applications / Manage Application / YouTube and Clear Data?

 

 

Also if this doesnt work I would also clear the data for the Market Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / All Tabs / Market / Clear Tab..

I just discovered recently that selecting storage use saves you the step of selecting the all tab when managing data for system applications, but maybe that option isn't available on all phones?
