I have a Verizon FIOS landline and would like to convert (port) it to an existing cell phone replacing that number and ending our landline service. (I have the phone and the cell number, I am not purchasing new). I have tried several different times with the service phone numbers. Each time I am assured by one or more people that this can be done, only to spend hours on the phone and fail. Last time I was told that since I have an analog phone number I have to buy some magical box for $2 per month to get it to the digital cell. Can I get my home phone number switched to a cell phone? More importantly who can help and complete this task?
