Please send someone that is capable of troubleshooting home phone lines.

Hi, lifelong customers here,  helping my mom navigate an ongoing home phone issue. Connection has been off & on for a while. Sometimes static or no connection at all.  Not sure when last person came out but they said it was fine. Whoever was here the last time left the box open. Wires everywhere, dirt, debris etc. I noticed it Saturday and made an appointment for me to be present this time. Brian arrived walked to the box and said, yeah it's supposed to look that way, closed it. And proceeded to say it's $99 for him to come in, $60 per jack and that doesn't guarantee he can find the problem let alone fix it. His fix would be to run a line you can see throughout the house to whichever locations that weren't working. I said that's not an acceptable solution. So he repeatedly suggested cordless phones. Which I said isn't the fix we were looking for. I  had him reopen the exterior Verizon phonebox so I could take a closer look at the connections and sure enough you can barely see the pins on the prongs because of debris. I asked if that could be the problem and He said he's not responsible for the wiring in the Verizon box. Not sure if he wasn't experienced in old phone lines or just didn't want to do the job. But the conversation ended abruptly when I asked to speak to his supervisor. He was in the process of switching out the interior obsolete set up. I asked if that was all finished and said I can ask the supervisor that too. I asked for his business card. He refused and said I know his name is Brian and that the supervisor knows who he is. He left. That was at 1:30. Still no follow up from his supervisor?! Shocked by how this all played out. Please do better Verizon and send me someone that can actually troubleshoot phone boxes.
