My copper wire landline quit working couple months ago and Verizon said they wanted to replace it with Verizon Voice. Sometimes its working fine but today it went dead 3 times while I was speaking with someone. This has happened so many times ๐Ÿ˜ž I don't know why this is happening ๐Ÿ˜ž

There are several reasons for a call disconnecting. Failing copper cables or hardware are two examples.

In areas where Fios service available, customers that are still on legacy copper cables that are degrading...Verizon will install Fios fiber & related equipment and move the telephone line off of the old copper.

I, myself, have been a Fios subscriber since the service was rolled out in my town back in 2008. Before then, every time it rained, calls to my home phone would suffer from static & noise. Verizon would change the pairs of wires in the overhead cables that my line used, but it was to no avail.

Ever since I switched to Fios, my telephone calls have been crystal clear and problem free.

If Fios is available in your area, and Verizon is offering to move the telephone line over, give it strong consideration. ๐Ÿ™‚
