I’m posting here to seek help with an ongoing issue regarding a promotional offer tied to my Verizon gigabit internet signup. When I signed up for the gigabit plan, one of the promotions explicitly promised a $200 Amazon gift card. This offer was a big reason I chose Verizon over other providers.
However, the process to receive it has been far from smooth. For weeks, the offer didn’t even appear in my home offers section on the Verizon website, unlike other promos. It finally became claimable, and I submitted my claim as instructed. Despite this, I received no gift card initially. After waiting over a week and a half, I contacted Verizon support multiple times to get it looked into. It took a lot of persistence, but I eventually received an email from Verizon with an Amazon gift card. To my surprise and disappointment, it was only for $150—not the $200 clearly promised and still listed in my gigabit plan offers.
I’ve double-checked my account, and the promo details still show a $200 gift card as part of the deal. I have screenshots available if needed to confirm this. I’ve spoken to several support agents about this discrepancy, each time, I was told it would be escalated, yet I’ve seen no follow-through.
This has been a frustrating experience. I trusted Verizon to honor the terms of the promotion that influenced my decision to sign up, but that hasn’t happened. It's absurd that customers have to fight tooth and nail to get the promos that were promised to them during signup.
