I signed up with Fios 2 months ago. Before signing up I noticed they were offering free gift cards and a JBL speaker. The offers that came with my order was a $200 Verizon gift card, $50 Verizon Gift card, $200 Amazon gift card, $50 Amazon gift card and a JBL party box. The redeem date is August 17 which is today. I get an email saying the JBL offer is ready so I redeem it without an issue. then I get to the Verizon gift cards and automatically I ran into the same issue that I see other people talk about. I get the following messages
“ Due to a system issue, the reward website is currently unavailable. Please try again later”
keep in mind I don’t have a computer so I’m trying this on safari, chrome and the google app and still get the same error. Then after trying for some time I was able to redeem the $200 & $50 Verizon gift card and the $200 Amazon gift card. On the order status page it saids my gift card is on hold because I have a pass due when my account is current and I paid my last bill. the only balance I have now is the one that’s due in September. I have no pass due balance.
Im unable to redeem the last $50 Amazon gift card offer. Customer service is closed. They don’t open until tomorrow. when I try to redeem it on the app it does not work. I hit the reward and nothing happens. After reading other people’s issues which is similar to mines I’m now convinced Verizon does this on purpose to their customers. they make it hard to redeem something and you will not get it unless you keep calling and being consistent. Verizon is a billion dollar company and they can’t fix the rewards website? I saw Verizon reply to a post and said it’s a known issue and that was in 2024 and it’s 2025. Verizon when is this gonna be fixed? If nothing is done I’m gonna contact the executive relations department. I pay my bill on time every month. You should hold up your part of the bargain and make it easier for people to redeem rewards that was promised.
