Alexa, HomeKit and or Google Assistant & Fios TV

Does anyone know how to get Alexa, HomeKit and or Google Assistant to change channels on the new Android TV based Fios TV system? I have the Fios skill enabled for Alexa and have added my LG TV to the LG ThinQ app.

I can turn the TV on and off, which tells me the various ‘helpers’ are communicating with the TV. I cannot change channels, which tells me the ‘helpers’ are not communicating with the STB.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Clem,

Thanks for responding. The page you listed shows all of the things you can do with the new Android TV and Google Assistant. One thing it doesn’t show is how to use Google Assistant to control the TV+ STB.

I am looking for a way to control the STB with any of the home controllers (Alexa, Siri, Google Assistant). I want to use them to change channels. I want Search to include information from the TV listings. At present I am unable to. With the old boxes and TV One I was able to.
