When I fast forward content and hit play, I get a loud beep through my surround sound system. I have had Fios TV for a number of years and this has never been an issue. I have two different AVR’s, different brands Yamaha and Onkyo and I am experiencing it with both. Has anyone experienced this ? Soulutions?

What is the audio pass-through set to in the Fios box? Try toggling the pass-through:
Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Audio > Audio Passthrough
Also sometimes a glitch in the digital signal will cause a weird screeching sound. Could be that when the box drops back to regular play speeds the audio has a brief interruption that is not being decoded properly.

How is your AVR hooked up to the Fios box? HDMI passthrough or optical from the TV?
