I have a Fios One 4100 and two days in a row, so far, while watching MSNBC, the program goes to a black screen, no audio, no video. All other functions are fine - the guide can be displayed, program info can be displayed, etc. I’m in the Baltimore region and this has happened at the same time both days, somewhere between 4-4:30 pm. I’ve had to switch to another channel and then check back sometime later so I do not know how long the blackout lasts. I’ve seen another report on another forum concerning the Weather Channel doing the same thing but I have not looked at this. Once the video and audio for the program are back there are no further issues until the next day.

Apparently solar activity was predicted for this period of early October with the possibility of tv interruption. Since it has occurred at almost exactly the same time across multiple states I will assume this is what is happening.

Is this happening to the SD, HD or both feeds from the network? If only one format, try switching to the opposite one and see if it is problem-free. 🤔

If I’m watching tomorrow at the same time and it reoccurs I’ll check the other channel to see. I only have the HD channels in my current guide view.

I’ve started a thread here https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r33959271-Broadcast-Screen-Goes-Black-2-Days-in-a-Row-At-Same-Time
Multiple responses now from my region about this issue occurring each day at the same time - MSNBC and the Turner stations -TNT, TBS - and Weather Channel. Hopefully we can get a response from Verizon, someone suggested some kind of solar activity.

Ah! I don't regularly watch any of the listed channels, so I haven't noticed any service interruptions.
If I'm home. I could switch to one or two to see if I can duplicate the problem during the timeframe 🤔.

So far all the respondents with this issue are in my region - Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. I believe that’s Verizon’s 04 service region so they should be able to pin this down. Just have them pay attention at 4:15pm today, if it continues. The Major League Baseball game was interrupted the other day on TBS so a significant number of people would have been affected. I don’t watch baseball but I assume many others do.

Again today from 4:20pm Eastern to 4:26 MSNBC, TBS, TNT, TBS, Weather channel and perhaps several others went black. Reports are from Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and now New York. Please determine what the issue is and inform subscribers. The outage seemed shorter today than the 2 previous days but still, 3 consecutive days at exactly the same time indicates a problem that should be easy to find, maybe not fix, but Verizon should be able to find out what’s going on.
