DCT700 digital adapter audio breaks

I have had 2 DCT 700 digital adapters for many years as well as 2 other set top boxes. Just recently one of the channels, channel 4, on the digital adapter is having frequent intermittent audio drops, just for a second. It happens the same on both digital adapters but there is no problem on the set top boxes to my knowledge but we only use the High Def channels.
I have checked the RCA connectors on both TV's and digital adapters and they are good. I rebooted by digital adapters and checked the coax connections. I have even rebooted the Fios box in the basement. Nothing fixed the problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try next?

Are you using the RCA audio outputs or the coax output to your TV? Have you checked all coax connections to the DCT including the splitters the DCT connects to? Tried changing out RCA or coax cables from the DCT to the TV? Could also be channel 4 now uses an audio type like Dolby Digital that the DCT can't handle.

Does the HD version of channel 4 drop out too?

The HD version of channel 4 is perfectly fine. Also, when I watch the SD version of channel 4 on the regular HD set top box, the audio is good, with no breaks. The momentary, random audio drop outs only occur on the channel 4 using the digital adapter.
