Hi,
Just got Fios One TV. Everything is set up and working. However, my wife and I have always had our own remotes. Unfortunately, with this system being Bluetooth, only one remote works at a time, and not only does it unpair, the other remote completely deprograms so you can't even use it to turn on the TV or adjust the volume. So, my wife is using our old Directv remote to control the TV. This creates another problem though. When she turns the TV off with that remote, the Bluetooth remote can't turn the TV on! So:
1. Is there any way to get two remotes to control the box, like an IR remote that works with the box so we can each have a remote?
2. Is there any way to solve the problem of the Bluetooth remote not working with the TV if it's turned off with an IR remote?
Thanks,
Joe

I'm not sure if you can turn off BT on one of the remotes. You could ask for one of the older IR remotes, or use the remote for the TV and program it for the Fios box.

Ok, so the old IR remotes will work with the Fios one system?

Yes they will. You just won't have voice control from the old remote.

Are you sure? The Verizon tech on the phone today swore up and down that I can't use the older FIOS remote with the new Fios system, only the (brain-dead) remote with too few buttons and Google voice. I DETEST that remote, and really would be in pig heaven if I could use the IR remote that used to ship with FIOS.

These two remote controls are interchangeable. I have a 4100 mini STB here in my bedroom and the old remote turns on the STB, changes channels, activates the menus...etc.
