Fios + TV with Google Assistant

I recently upgraded to Fios 2GB internet. This meant I had to “upgrade” to the new media servers. They are Android/Google based and I can’t seem to configure Google Assistant to work with the new STB.

I can get it to power on and off and control the volume. This tells me that Google Assistant is communicating with the TV. I can’t get it to change channels which tells me Google assistant is not communicating with the STB.

Does anyone know how to configure the new STB to work with Google Assistant?
