Fios can’t rewind when going back to last channel

My DVR no longer allows me to "rewind" when I flip back to my last channel?  Fios used to auto record the previous channel so if I changed channels back to the last channel it was auto recording so I would be able to rewind.  One example is if I am watching 2 football games on different channels.  If I miss a touchdown on the other game because I had flipped to the primary  game  I can go back to the other channel and still rewind.  This capability which I have had for years does not seem to be working.  Does anyone have any idea why or how to fix?

Just record both games and you will be able to do whatever you like. Then delete them when done.

I shouldn’t have to record. The product was originally advertised as having this rewind ability. Are you now telling us you NO LONGER offer this feature? If so, I should be researching another carrier. Your prices have gone up and now you are changing the services and not informing your customers. I will need to take it to social media to share because this is a KEY feature that has been taken away, and your response is to record the show?

I just "upgraded" to the VM4100 STB and  noticed a similar issue. I find, however, that I can turn on the STB some minutes before the games and tune in to a channel and  switch to another channel  to start both recorders.  If the STB is turned off for a few minutes, this feature still works BUT times out over night and the STB stops recording while turned off.

The solution, other than complaining to Verizon, might be to leave the STB on all the time by disabling the power save feature.

Another issue I noticed is that ON Demand used to only disable one recorder BUT now disables both.

Mine also changed recently and was told  by support it was  because of a change in  the last firmware update . I can not leave it on the last channel the night before and then rewind ny show the next morning I am not pleased and looking for another vendor .

I agree. I wake up after the news starts and like to rewind it back. I shouldn’t have to use my recording space and remember to record.

I, too, miss the ability to rewind the last hour on two channels.  Pretty lousy that there is no notification to customers about this.  I have spent hours on the phone with tech support on this issue and NO ONE knew about this.

Lack of communication from Verizon on eliminating this feature is outrageous!  Should the FCC know about this?

This is not acceptable. I've been looking for a way to resolve this for months and all the links were old. Suddenly other people are having the same problem. Verizon charges exorbitant fees, constantly switches up "plans", and intentionally makes their website incredibly difficult to navigate and find the stuff you want (and what you don't want) - what happened to a la carte?

We switched our mobile phones to Verizon thinking that it would be one and done, but it's been one and a nightmare.  I will happily ditch the monopoly if it means getting **and keeping** the feature that brought me to them to begin with. Don't be cute and drop a feature like live rewind that you played up for years on every single commercial (and don't get me started on the commercials). I, too, will contact the FCC, along with social media to make things right.

FIX THIS, PLEASE.
