It all started with an obsolete set top box

We got a letter and an e-mail saying we would lose service if we did not upgrade our equipment. Verizon then sent  a letter and an e-mail saying a new set top box and a router if their records said we needed one are no the way at no cost. When they did not arrive after almost three weeks I asked the online agent who said there is a hold on the shipment.They said we needed at least 300mbps to get a new set top box. Just as we agreed to a plan that is five dollars cheaper to what we are paying now the session timed out. The next online agent said I wound have to call the team. I called the team who said they do not know how the online agent came up with that price. I said it was mix and match he said he could mot do that . He came up with a price eight dollars cheaper  still more for less, now getting gig speed. He could not do Netflix for $ 10. He could not do the Disney Hulu ESPN deal for $ 10 either . He could not do the five year price lock only two years . No $200 gift card . Then he says it is a technician required  installation. He  sets it up for the next day but it is going to snow so I said the day after. the technician arrives on time but no set top box,He says he has one on the truck but it is not his truck so he does not have all his stuff. So we got a box ,is it the one we were supposed to get? He did not want to put the new router were the old one was , he wants to put it in the closet with the ont. He dos not want to run a new ethernet line.  So in the closet it goes. He did not do anything other than unplug the old and plug in the new. Why does the website have all these plans that are not available and the set top box that stared it all missing?

Now that I have this set top box , is it the box or Verizon in general? The channel/ program guide is all one color , before tv shows, movies ,sports all had different colors. I do not get as many of the local towns channels as before. It says Netflix starts at $ 7.95 a month is that true? I used to be able to to see the cast of tv shows and see other stuff that they starred in but not now.

We just got another e-mail saying they are sending a new set top box.I TALKED to the online agent to see when and how the box was coming. They said there are no words in my change order the mentions a new box. They said you should TALK to a live agent .Once again just as they are about to place the order the session TIMES OUT ! Starting over again they finally get around to actually saying it should be here in three days. We shall see . We are only getting a $100 gift card. The confirmation e-mail said We could save $20 a month with auto pay with  a bank account , mobile and home bills combined. This has taken almost 50 minutes  just to get to the confirmation about the set top box. So against my better judgement I de enrolled from auto pay with credit card to auto pay with bank account. Then it says it will take up to two billing cycles to get the discount if I'm eligible. All the fine print I read never mentioned about being eligible because of this that or the other thing. Verizon did send an e-mail that are eligible to get the  Disney + package for free for a year but online agents can not do that.

I happened to see  a Verizon van drive away this morning .No one had come to the door so I went outside and there was a box. T he box was not addressed to me , it was for someone about a half mile away. I tiried calling but after 23 minutes on hold I gave up and decided to drive over there to see if they had my delivery. No one was home and no box addressed to me was out front so I left. I called Verizon again ,this time only 12 minutes on hold. They said my delivery had not yet been sent but if it does not get there by March 12 to call them. They said I should take the box to the Verizon store. That turned out to be the easiest interaction with Verizon ever . Just walked in handed the guy the box and he said no problem. I said thank you and that was it. Now I just read all the problems people are having with this new VMS, ugh!
