Had a problem with Verizon DVR rebooting. Verizon suggested an ‘upgrade’ (which of course costs more). I suspect anll I needed was a replacement box, but I went for the upgrade. Now wishing I had not. After upgrade, I find these features, which I previously had, either no longer exist or are not functioning as expected.
1-Skip ahead 30 seconds when watching recorded or delayed programs. Now your only option is FF which makes it MUCH harder to get to the spot you want. LOST FUNCTIONALITY.
2-Skip ahead by day (not by hour) in the Guide. LOST FUNCTIONALITY
3-Resume of previously watched recorded program not working (restarts from beginning) - BUG- not working as expected.

Which boxes did you upgrade to? The Fios One boxes or the newer stream boxes? If they are Fios One, you need to go here to set the skip options:
Main Menu > Settings > System > DVR>Skip
Also on the voice remote, skip forward and backward are the left and right arrows on the control ring.
If it is the stream box, look here:

Thank you for your response. However, I went from FiOS one to stream and stream loses the functionality I described. You can only set the replay at the link you provided. There is no longer the ability to skip forward. You can only fast-forward and it’s nearly impossible to stop where you want. Also the day no longer exist you have to go through hours and hours of the guide to move ahead. And the replay has the problem I described. This seems to be inherent in the stream boxes and remote

Yes, the stream boxes are still a work in progress. They had a long time to work on the 4100 series boxes.

I COMPLETELY AGREE!
I HATE that I can't FF 30 seconds. it's horrible.
And, about the Guide and advancing one day at a time: if you hold down the FF button long enough, it'll jump a day at a time. You have to go through about 3 days, though, first.
HATE it. HATE it. HATE it.
