I have just received the newer WiFi Stream 2 boxes for my Fios setup but I have been using a Harmony Hub based remote to control my home system that includes TV, AV receiver, FireTV stick, etc.
Would love to continue using just the Harmony Remote since it’s set up so nicely but the new Stream 2 boxes only use Bluetooth remotes to control them, and I can’t figure out how to pair the Harmony hub with the new box even though I’ve gotten Bluetooth keyboard working with other streaming devices (eg Fire Stick).
Anybody gotten the Harmony hub to work with these new STB’s?

I think I’ve found a workaround. Apparently Verizon sells an IR remote adapter that plugs into the USB port of these new Fios Tv+ boxes: https://www.verizon.com/home/accessories/ir-adapter-for-fios-tv-plus/
gonna give this a try.

For anyone who's dealing with same issue, I actually was able to get the Harmony Hub to pair with the new Stream box by using AirTV as the device instead of using a Verizon device. I added a new AirTV device and when I created a new Activity using the AirTV device, it put the Hub into Bluetooth pairing mode and I was able to pair it with the Stream box. Many of the buttons work including Home, arrow keys, channel up/down and Guide, however the channel number, DVR, and Info buttons don't work. I wasn't able to add commands as that didn't seem to work but I need to retry that again as I may not have been doing that correctly. Might try using a Tivo device as well to see if that will pair and provide more button compatibility. Hopefully Harmony adds these new boxes to their database, but if not, maybe Verizon customer support can provide the bluetooth codes?

Update: Adding a Tivo DVR didn't seem to work as it doesn't seem to pair the activity via BT.
And I've learned that the Harmony Hub can't learn new Bluetooth commands - only IR 😞
So, unless Harmony updates the database with the new Verizon STB's, might be out of luck on additional functionality.

Not sure but I wonder if the remote for the Fios one (4100 series) remotes would work with the stream boxes. They had both Ir and BT capabilities and the same button compliment. That would probably work with your Harmony system.

Hmm, interesting. I never had the 4100 series. How would that work, exactly? The issue is that I need to have more functions via the Bluetooth connection to the box. Since the box has no IR input, I’m not sure that having the older remote would change anything.
