New Router and Set top boxes

Verizon has decided my old equipment is obsolete and has sent me a new router and 4 new set top boxes. I was only paying for one set top box (my other 3 were ancient digital converter boxes that barely worked) and now I will be billed for 4! I don't want all 4 and I've asked them not to send them but they did anyhow. I am sure the installation will take hours! Which I don't have. I need to know when the billing starts for all this new equipment that was forced on me and how to make it not happen! I also need to know how long this installation should take.
I am quite disgusted with Verizon right now for forcing this on me w/o any real warning or without providing me with alternative solutions. I would like a verizon rep to respond to this post and let me know how to proceed.
Also, I am heading out of town for 2 weeks in a few days so I can't even think about this until I return. I certainly hope the new billing does not start today, on delivery day!

Contact the Verizon Sales Office. Explain to the representative how many television STBs you need.
The rep can write an order to have the extra ones sent back and your account credited.
If the STBs are Fios One (legacy cable television service), the setup process isn't too bad (I've had my STBs for years).
I'm not familiar with the Verizon Fios+ STBs, so I can't comment on them.

oh I already called Verizon to ask them NOT to send all those boxes. They wouldn't help and told me that I would be billed as soon as they arrived and it was up to me to drive to a Verizon store and return the ones I don't want. I do hope a verizon person jumps on this thread and can respond. Right now I am fed up with them altogether and am thinking of switching. It's about time. right?

You might be able to save a few $$ by going this route with some of your other TV's and a Firestick or two:
