No info in guide or dvr

I tried to rewind a recorded show for a few seconds. The video wouldn’t stop rewinding. It went all the way back to the beginning. Nothing would stop it. I changed the batteries in the remote thinking that might help. It did not. Now I can only see the actual channels. I cannot see any data, no guide: no DVR, no on demand. The screen is completely black when I try. I attempted to chat with tech support and got nobody.

Remove the power cords from  the entire system including the router for 3 minutes. Power back the router first, wait for it to stabilize. Then power back the main Fios box, then any satellite boxes.
