Skip forward with DVR

On the DVR, is there a way to skip forward or back in increments of, say, 15 or 30 minutes? I just recorded a very long program and it is painfully slow to fast forward all the way through.

I saw some older forums where people suggested setting this up specially through some options or settings, but I see no such thing on my screen.

Thank you but I am just not seeing those options.

On the main menu, my options are My DVR, Guide, Networks, Shows, Movies, Kids.

Under My DVR, the only options are Recordings, Scheduled, Deleted, Priority. There is no "Configure & Upgrade."

I also looked under Settings but nothing there looked relevant either. There was something under Viewing Preferences for "REPLAY button skip timing" (only up to 60 seconds, though) -- and my remote doesn't have a REPLAY button.

Did they give me a lesser DVR model?

Do you have the Fios One 4100 series boxes or the newer stream boxes? The menu item I referred to was for the 4100 series. IF you have the stream boxes look under the gear icon;

SettingsFios TV deviceViewing preferences>REPLAY button skip timing
