I have had my new Fios installation for a year now and I still cannot access my DVR outside of my home. I don't even want to watch shows outside of my home - just schedule DVR and see what is on it. I have tried to connect the app inside the home - that may work for a few hours but once I leave my home the app does not see anything. I also cannot use the Verizon Manage DVR website . No one has been able to help me - I just don't understand this. I had Fios 10 years ago and that worked fine but now with a cloud DVR and ten years of technology advancement this basic functionality is broken. I wish someone here would know a simple fix. I have tried rebooting router, reinstalling the app etc - I feel this is something Verizon has to fix...

Did you try this:
Main Menu > Customer Support > Top Support Tools > Fix FiOS TV Issues
Main Menu > DVR > Configure & Upgrade>Refresh Device
Is your DVR a VMS 4100 or the new stream box?
You might also try calling billing and have them re-authorize your account.

I have had this problem also.
I discovered that I could manage the DVR thru the Fios TV android phone app as long as it was not connected to any other WIFI (besides the in house Verizon WIFI). If just using the cell connection (also Verizon), then I could manage the DVR. Try turning off the WIFI connection on your phone.

Thanks. I did try that on an Android and just tried again and still get "Error Loading" for all pages in Manage DVR. 😞

Have you tried updating the Fios app? Have you registered the phone on the home network first, then going outside the house?

I should have the most recent version of the FiOS TV app. Everytime I report an issue that's the first thing they want to do is remove and reinstall the app.
You do have to make sure it's "provisioned". Which is usually just running the app on the verizon WIFI network. Verzion may have to reset something to redo the provisioning.
Does everything work properly when on the Verizon WIFI? That's the first hurdle.
