Yes, I am only now learning why we are not on the same page with our systems. Despite keeping the Fios TV One name, the new ATV is a completely different system. Rather than having a central big box for one TV and minis on the other TVs, the new systems appear to have a central server for the DVR, and Fios TV+ streaming boxes for each TV. These new ones are apparently android base and completely redesigned. I am not a fan. Wish I could play with yours for a while and see if I liked it better.
At least when I saw this post you made about auto power off, I went looking for the setting on my system. What I found is actually a setting that reads, "Automatically turn off TV", and has two timers for "When inactive" and "When watching". I ignored these settings because I figured I would be controlling my TV, and it wouldn't hurt to have an auto-off if I forgot and left it on. But this may actually be the STB sleep mode, not a TV setting. Not sure yet if setting both to Never will allow the buffer to stay active through the night.

I don't think there is a way to totally defeat the power saving settings for the box. I believe if there is no activity for over 4 hours, the box will shut down into standby mode.

Actually there is an option to leave the STB on 24/7.
If you go to the choices, but scroll up instead of down, there is a box that will allow uninterrupted viewing. 🙂

Thanks! I missed that.

I nail the correct answer once or twice a day (just like a stopped 12-hour clock). 😄

Hi dexman,
Are you talking about the settings found here?

Actually, check here:
Settings -> Fios TV One Mini Settings -> Auto Power Off -> (Toggle up) -> Select "None".

That setting is on the older 4100 series boxes. He has a FoisTV+ box, different menu system and may not have that setting.

Give it a shot and see what happens! I don't have the new boxes, so I am only going by what I can with them. Sometimes I can find settings, sometimes not.
