TV One VMS4100 Audio

So just got the TV One VMS 4100 installed today on main TV. Replaced the old QIP7110-P2 STB.

The only change to my configuration, STB, Sony TV and Visio Soundbar is the new STB.

Normally the volume setting on the soundbar would be at 22 or 24. Now with the new STB it needs to be 40+.

The volume on the new STB is set to fixed and the audio format is set to surround.  I have HDMI from the STB to the TV and HDMI from TV to soundbar. Same as with old box. Anyone else experiencing this? Suggestions?

Thanks

Look here and try either setting and see if it helps:

Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Audio > Audio Passthrough

If not try this:

Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Audio>Dynamic Range

and set it to medium or heavy.

Thanks clem21. I'll change the passthrough setting, Dynamic range is already at Heavy, and post back with results.

Ok. Changing to passthrough seems to have increased volume on most channels but not all. I'm thinking its more channel/programed based now than a box issue. i.e. yesterday afternoon, after passthrough selected,  USA channel audio was still low  but today same channel playing Chicago Fire audio is fine.  ABC is still low regardless of program but that was true on old stb also. If everything is good over the weekend I'll accept your reply as solution.
