VMS4100 and IPC Client

Upgrading to a VMS4100 and IPC Client.  Hope to locate the STB behind the TV. Non obstructed on sides.

1-would a IR extender be needed

2-is there a IR extender port on the IPC?  the VMS has one

The IPC is IR only, the VMS works with both. You will need an IR extender to mount the IPC to the back of the TV but there IS an IR  port for it on the back of the unit. It is a standard 1/8" port so you shouldn't have any problems finding an extender.
