We recently got the new Fios TV stream boxes for our 2 TVs. Since then, every 3 / 4 days, we are having this vms connection error/connection failed. Each time I was asked to reset and restart the stream and vms boxes. Last week, the Verizon technician visited our home, checked everything and added 2 MoCa adapters to the stream boxes. That again worked for 2 days only. I had to reset/restart the VMS boxes and router, which takes about [phone number removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] minutes in all each time. Today again when the error happened, I was told by the Verizon Tech support guy that my router is not compatible, and I have to change the router. My question is, if the streamer works on WiFi, how does it matter on the Router? Also. if it is an in-compatible router, then the streamer shouldn't work at all.
Earlier, we had vms4100 and 1100 set top boxes connected by coaxial cable and we never had any issues for 8-9 years, with the same set up and same router. (Orbi Mesh Router with 2 satellites as recommended by Verizon).
We would like the issue to be resolved. Any help, advice is appreciated. We preferred to go back to VMS4100 set up.
