Vms1100 dots in time display

Is it normal for the dots between the hour and minutes on the time display to be flashing all the time

I would say it is normal, try turning the unit on and see if it still blinks. If it stops, then it is a power indicator. If not, look here for the manual:

Mine is doing it.  Seems normal.
