In the new FIOS that I had installed last month, there are NO indications of the time provided. We used to have the time shown in LEDs on the set top box. There are no Time LEDs on the new FIOS/TV mini set top boxes. We used to have the time displayed in chyrons on the TV screen. Zilch for the new FIOS/TV. We used to have the time in the "Info" option activated by the "Info" button in the old FIOS. In the new one we get 2 time indicators: How much time remains in the current show and the time for the next program. That means to get the current time, you have to do some arithmetic: Time of next program - time left in current program.
So why do you have to do arithmetic to get the current time?
It looks like the designers of the new FIOS/TV software went out of their way to AVOID giving us the current time. You really have to work at it to get the current time from FIOS/TV.
What's the problem with giving us the current time? What is the secret about the current time?
This does not make any sense at all!
