Just got a new set-top box (STB) and router after hanging on to the old ones for years.
Setting up the router went fairly smoothly, but the STB was a different matter.
I got some message on the screen like "Your file can not be found It may have been deleted or moved."
It took about 45 minutes on chat to get the thing up and running.
Why doesnt tech support realize this is a common problem? I would have thought the tech support person (either the first person I chatted with, the second person that I was passed off to, or the "video team" that the second person referred me to) would have realized, oh yeah, we see that all the time, here's what you do.
But no, had the usual tech support experience.
I found a couple of community chats reporting this same error, so it is not unheard of. I suspect they had to do something on their end to recognize the new box.
