fios one dvr

I just turned in my old FIOS DVR because it wasn't going to be supported any longer. Now I am using the FIOS One setup with the new DVR on my Samsung smart TV. The new DVR is horrible! First off I can no longer tell if anything is recording because there is no indicator light on the new box. So I must turn on the TV and check. That's where it all start s to give problems. Shows that I 'sucessfully' set up (said 'SUCCESS' when initilly set up) randomly disappear. When I look at the guide, the red recording indicator is gone as well. At first when this happened I though it was the DVR dropping the recordings. This was the case SOMETIMES, but more often than not it is the failure of the HOME screen to show that the recording actually still exists. So I need to reset the box just to get the TV to display the actual settings. This is WORTHLESS as a DVR. Anyone else having these issues, because Verizon certainly doesn't seem to care about them. The customer support just kept saying we're sorry for you inconvenience(s).

Weโ€™re going on 1 year with Fios One and itโ€™s absolutely horrible. Today Iโ€™m having to do a factory reset (again) bc itโ€™s not recording, items are stuck and wonโ€™t delete etc. Itโ€™s terrible Verizon hasnโ€™t addressed this at all. If it wasnโ€™t for an outdoor tv that we needed the wireless for weโ€™d go back.
