"New" IPC1100P2 set top box

I was recently forced to upgrade from rather old set top boxes that we were happy with.  The new ones seem very unresponsive and frustrating (frequent help pop ups that keep coming back).  Simply flipping between channels is a much slower process.  The channel guide takes much longer to appear.  The old Motorola boxes were much better.

We've been customers for at least 20 yrs.  Is there a way to get a better system?

They sent the Arris IPC1100P2 set top boxes and VMS 1100.  Based on the responsiveness of the set top boxes, I'm assuming I got old gear that was simply newer than what I had before.  I'll probably have to call them to see if I can get devices that take seconds per click to respond.

The router upgrade (GS3100) was good because it added NAT support for multiple subnets (rather than only 192.168.1.0/24).

The router you got was current, the Boxes you got weren't. I'm surprised they sent you those, not 4100 series boxes. Yes, they are much slower than the 4100 series because they have less Ram to work with and a slower processor. Call and see if they can get you the Fios One, VMS 4100 Series, not the Fios + boxes to replace the 1100 Units you have. I think you'll be happier.

Did you get an upgraded router with the new boxes? Which boxes did they send, the new Fios + boxes or the older Fios one 4100 boxes? What internet speed do you have?
