Old Landline

We discontinued traditional landline service with Verizon over a decade ago and are now mobile customers.  But the cable for our old landline is still connected from our house to the pole in the corner of our yard.  It didn’t really become a problem until we got our siding replaced, and now the cable is sagging low and pulling on our siding, so we need to get the old unusable cable removed from the outside of our house. How can we get that done?
