Where is the April update?

VZW this is getting old with not deploying in a timely manner.

I definitely agree. This is getting very absurd. If they can't stay on top of updates then they either need to provide specific explanations or hand it back over to Google to update the phones without any carrier holds. They do this with the betas. I could get Android 14 or the newest 13 QPR ok my phone today if I just opt in, and they always work without carrier glitches. Why can't we just have this with stables?

Not the Pro 6, just the 6, but same issue. My daughter's 6 Pro also has no updates. If this keeps going, I'm just gonna sideload the updates instead of trying to guess when the update will be released by VZW.

The sideload worked great! Had to reboot once to get Smart Lock to work but that's it.

It's actually quite easy. Below is a list of April updates for the Google Pixel phones from the Verizon update page.  You will see that all but the 6 series were updated weeks ago.  Also, I have not heard of any other carriers not updating their phones. The same thing happened at Verizon in March as shown by the same list.

Can you please provide an explanation here so that all that are interested can know why their phones are not being updated? Thank you.

Same with my Pixel 6a. April 24th, and still no update. This is getting ridiculous.

Why would you need to go private? We all want to know why Verizon is slacking on updates when all the other carriers rolled them out weeks ago.

To whom ever is going private with them. Just let the rest of us peons know what they say please.

I would be surprised if they are actually going "private". I believe it is their way of not responding. VZ customer service has gotten bad in the past few years and may cause me to go to another provider after being with them for 34 years.

I had previously mentioned that I sideloaded the official update but just saw notification that the Verizon release finally happened. I checked for updates and found that there was an update available, with the last 2 characters of the release changing from E1 to G1 . This is a small change but may be a Verizon thang.

Check for updates - it should now be available.

Why the Verizon rep would insist on private communications is beyond me.

Thanks for the link but it doesn't address the April update or, at least, yet. And you haven't addressed WHY there's no shared info as to why the update has been delayed. Certainly you can understand customers' frustration with Verizon not  saying anything about the delays when there's the distinct possibility of zero day attacks embedded in the monthly releases but Verizon halts distribution until almost the next month's release from Google. Transparency isn't needed in just politics...
