Starting on 6/17/18 between 1pm and 6pm I started having trouble texting my husband. He has an iPhone8 and I have a Google Pixel 2. We both got new phones about a month ago and I was able to text him fine. Then on June 17th after 6pm I texted him and it wouldn't go through. I discovered that I can only text him if I send a picture with it. What can I do to fix this?

Is it showing on your end as sent, and he's not receiving them, or are you getting an error message on your phone when trying to text him?

Being unable to message my spouse would be a bummer, so I know the importance of getting services back on track. You mentioned that new devices where activated, so that lead me to wonder about the prior phones. What was on the phone number that is now a Pixel 2? If it was an iPhone of any type, then here are steps to deregister that last iPhone: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/
Is he able to send a message from his iPhone to you without a picture?
What is the current default messaging app that’s being used on the Pixel 2?

I get an error and he doesn't receive the text. I was able to fix it by doing a Force Stop of the Messaging App and Clearing the data for the app.
