Not receiving text messages on Pixel 6 Pro but can send

Intermittent issues with receiving text messages on Google messages. Tried switching to Verizon messages and still can't receive text. I am able to send but not receive. This keeps happening since January. What is happening? Ready to switch from Pixel and Verizon.

I am also having this issue. What is the resolution? I tried a couple different SMS Apps, rebooted my phone a couple of times, and still nothing.

Hello, skinney782, I'm sorry to hear you're running into an issue with receiving messages. When did this start? Do you recall any changes just before you stopped getting text? I have checked my phone and it is up-to-date. Also, what happened is that after about a day-and-a-half, suddenly all my text messages showed up. So I figured everything was good. Then just today, it started happening again.

The other weird thing: after I restart my phone, there is a message that states: "You have new messages. Open SMS app to view"

And of course, I would love to. But I can't. I've tried a 3rd party App and the native App. Neither one are showing the message.
