Pixel 2 Cannot Receive Texts or Calls

MiddleChildSyndrome

Hi, I purchased a new Google Pixel 2 yesterday from my local Verizon store. We performed the test outgoing call from my phone to make sure I could make calls. I am able to make outgoing calls from my phone. However, I cannot receive texts or calls. Also, when I send a text message, it says it was sent but the recipient does not receive the text message. I have also had someone try to send me a text message and I am unable to receive it. Finally, when I have someone try to call me, it goes straight to voicemail. I have tried turning my phone off and turning it back on again and also doing a reset. Please help!

Was this for a new line of service with a new number,  a new line where you ported a number from another carrier, or was it an upgrade to an existing VZW line?

Ann154, I ported my number over from Sprint.

Has the Sprint phone been turned off and the SIM card removed? The port might not be fully complete. Call customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from a landline or another phone and ask them to check the port status and have them reset your text message feature from their end if needed.

You also need to set up your voicemail for the Verizon Wireless network.

MiddleChildSyndrome, it's important to receive phone calls and texts. I'm here to help. Are you having trouble with calls from specific numbers or all numbers? Please note, it can take up to 72 hours for a port to complete. This can impact incoming calls and text messages. Does this help answer your question?
