Pixel 6 March Update?

Has anyone received their March update on their Pixel 6? Seems like every phone has it except for those with a Pixel 6 on VZN.

I've seen lots of Verizon pixel 6 owners complaining about this on Reddit. I don't think any Verizon Pixel 6 owners have gotten it yet.

I have not received it either. Verizon said they haven't received it and Google says that sent it.  Since this is a security update and it addresses specific security issues, both parties understand we are at risk.

We roll out software updates when the parent company releases them to us. For a list of the most current software updates, check out this link - https://www.verizon.com/support/software-updates/

Notice that it shows 230205.002.  That's the build  I have but I'd say your release date appears to disagree, don't you agree?

Google's help desk reply;

"as I mentioned, the updates are released once they're approved by the carrier. All the Pixel 6 series devices will receive the updates within 3 weeks of its release. I'm positive you'll soon receive the updates on your device. Many of the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a devices have received the updates. It is only a matter of time till you get the updates."

The help desk person is probably correct. Some Pixel 6 users have received the update, just not Verizon's, it seems.

Verizon sez it's Google's fault

Google sez it's Verizon's fault

Since we don't know which it is, my guess is that the update from Google didn't work with Verizon because of their UWB modifications. But how would I know?

It's March 26th, and still no March update for Pixel 6 on Verizon. I guess we'll get the March update in April. SMH.

Yep, same problem here. This happened in December if I remember correctly. So possibly something to do with pixel feature updates. But this is even further from simply not good, this is a majorly bad situation as this is holding back a very crucial security update.

Verizon chat agent(AI) passed the buck to Google yesterday.

I don't know how to DM you on your own message board, but what we're all asking is: Has Verizon reached out to Google to find out why Verizon Pixel 6 hasn't received the update when everyone else already has it?

By the way, Pixel users are sophisticated enough to know where to check on the phone to see if the update is available. We're not iPhone users. According to the phone, the update is NOT available yet.

C'mon Verizon, get to the bottom of why Google isn't servicing your customers and give us the answers. Why don't we have it and when it is coming?

Thank you so much for contacting us today! I understand how much you want the update. You are more than welcome to reach out to the manufacturer about it at the following link:

Why are you not reaching out to the Manufacturer? We're your customers? Verizon has a lot more clout with Google than any single customer.

Thanks all. I guess glad to know I'm not the only one. Hopefully Google / VZN get their stuff together and release a stable update.

I love my Pixel  6...just wish updates were more consistent  Spdrman.png

Hey, Luke!

The updates are directly through Google, and you are one of many wondering about the latest update. If you would like to DM us, we can show you where in your phone to see if there is an update waiting! We are here to help 24/7, in any way we can! We hope you have the BEST day!

I'm pretty sure at this point that literally everyone here knows how to update their phone.  If the problem is Google like you guys claim then why can't someone from Verizon get on the phone with Google and talk to them until they send you the update that they've already sent everyone else?

I know I'm talking to a wall right now, and I don't blame you. You're just a powerless help desk agent. But do us all a favor and do whatever the heck you can to try to help out.
