Pixel XL for Note 7

I've finally decided that I'm going to turn in my N7 to be safe. Can't really afford my house or truck going up in flames or me getting hurt. Does anyone have any idea as to what happens if I order a Pixel XL for a replacement since it is not out yet? I don't want to order a new phone and have to wait to get it and then find out I have to ship my N7 back before I get the new phone and end up without a phone for however long.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you order a new phone that is on backorder or pre-order you can visit a VZW Direct store and get a temporary device.

That is what I was told from customer service, but I've visited and called 7 stores around me (Houston area) and every one told me that they do not offer loaner phones. I insisted the rep told me interim, as in sign a contract for a phone and switch to the Pixel when it comes in, and they all said they aren't doing that and that the best I could do was just order a Pixel from them in-store. I don't have another phone to use, as I traded in my Note 4 for this.

This company is a joke. This has been biggest fiasco Ive ever desalt with in my 51 years. Those of us who bought note 7's are being treated like criminals. Utterly unacceptable business practices

Go into the store, produce a copy of the Note7 paperwork where it says you can do this. But realize they may be saying no interim devices because they are out of stock - they will not tell you what they have in stock over the phone you need to physically be there.

I ordered my pixel xl on Oct 18th and STILL have not got it yet. They say the stores carry the 32 gig but not the 128, which is the one I ordered. grrrrrrrrrr Now they are saying the new ship date is Dec 26th. This is NOT right. So now I'm just waiting for my Note 7 to blow up. It downloaded the new software and I can't charge more than 60%. Which means I am constantly charging my phone throughout the day. BIG JOKE !!!!

Don't be discouraged, I also pre-ordered the Pixel XL on the same day (10/18) and an S7 edge to replace both Note 7's I (have). They won't even keep me updated after the first email they sent me notifying me of a delay. Supposedly (according to the delay email) the devices were to ship along with the new cases on 11/23. I do, however, feel your pain since most of the posts I am reading were existing customers who had been victimized by the Note 7 recall.
