Why won't Verizon honor their phone warranties?

Hello,

I have a Google Pixel 3a that is 2 months old. There is a static on phone calls, a background reverb, and the volume goes in and out. For example a sentence such as I went to the store to buy milk, cheese, and eggs is heard as I went to the store.....and eggs. Words are lost and not heard. I have talked to customer service and went to the store. I have to send in my phone and be without a phone for 3-5 days. In this day and age it is a safety risk to be without a phone. I bought the phone from Verizon and they should honor the warranty and provide me with a replacement phone. I was told since they only sold the phone and didn't make the phone they didn't have to honor the warranty. If buy a tv from Target and is isn't working I am able to return it to Target and get a new TV. I don't have to send in my TV and wait for a replacement TV. Verizon should have Pixel 3a phones in stock to swap out.

The ability to warranty the device has to do with the manufacturer, not the seller of the device. Take it up with Google.

If you buy a phone from Target, they will not replace it for you after 2 months, they have the same 14 day return policy that Verizon does. If you buy a TV from Target, they will only offer warranty or replacment service within their return policy, which is 90 days. So if you have issues with your TV after 120 days of owning it, they won't do anything at all.

No, not silly since I have actually done it. So don't talk about things you do not know or don't make assumptions because you look like an butt.

Maybe it's because Verizon isn't LG, Samsung, Apple, Google or Motorola.

After 14 days, you can't return an item at a store. For any defects, you get a warranty replacement issued to you through tech so long as it's determined troubleshooting wasn't effective and if you don't have physical damage.

Basic manufacturer warranty gets you a year if you didn't add insurance for the extended.

Wow, you sound like a 4 year old.

I do know because I can read return policies. Verizons and Targets. No assumptions were made here.

I am now going to make an assumption that you are one of those people that go into stores or call customer service and act like an entitled 4 year old that didn't get the color of cup that you wanted. It also makes me happy to know that Verizon didn't bend to your tantrum.
