Hello Verizon Support and Community,
I am the owner of a Pixel 7 Pro purchased through Verizon. I’ve come to understand that the bootloader is locked and that Verizon devices have this feature disabled by default.
I’d like to formally request clarification on Verizon’s policy regarding bootloader unlocking. As an advanced user and developer, I have legitimate reasons for requiring bootloader access, and I am aware that other carriers and the Google Store models permit this.
If Verizon has a firm policy of disabling bootloader unlocking indefinitely, I’d appreciate confirmation in writing. If there is any internal process, exemption, or escalation path available, I would like to pursue that route.
Please let me know how to proceed. If there is no way to unlock this device’s bootloader, I will consider filing a complaint with the FCC and switching to a carrier that better supports developer needs.
Thank you,
Daniel

How would I go about unlocking my boot loader also, as my phone won't take eSIMs, and tells me to call Verizon each time. Verizon has unlocked my phone, but only for physical SIMs. I have a Pixel Pro 9 Fold. Thanks.

You can't get it done. If the eSIM function hasn't been unlocked, then maybe your phone isn't truly "unlocked"?
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
