Calls going direct to voicemail after 2 rings. No notification.

For some reason about a month ago my Pixel 7 pro started missing calls. Not all calls but the majority of calls are apparently ringing twice and then going to voicemail but I am not getting a notification that I missed a call. I will get a notification when they leave a voicemail. Any way to fix this on the phone side or is this a problem with the network? I've done all the basics of rebooting and checking notification settings.

PatCat71 we can definately understand how concerning it is to be missing calls and for them to go straight to voicemail. Do you recall any changes with the device prior to this happening? Is your Pixel on the most up to date software? If you can also check to ensure do not disturb isn't turned on. To check this from the top of your screen, swipe down and then tap Do Not Disturb to switch it on/off.

I'm having the same problems. I just randomly get voicemails without a call coming through or a missed call notification. I just called myself from my work phone number and my cell phone didn't even ring. It's so frustrating, because I know it's been happening on and off for at least a month.

I know how to work DND, it is not on. My software is up to date on my phone.

I know how important it is for my calls to be working, as I wouldn't want to miss any emergencies or important phone calls myself. We definitely want to help find a solution here. We appreciate everything you've already done to help try to fix this. I'd like to gather some more details. When specifically did this issue first start happening? Can you share the nearest cross streets and city where this is happening? What changed, if anything, before this issue started to happen?

Same issue for me as well. Itโ€™s been happening in and off for 2 months but recently has gotten significantly worse. Iโ€™ve noticed it happens more often when myself or my my husband are in specific areas of the house. The difference is literally from one end of the couch to the other which is crazy. Verizon did diagnoses on dropped calls and they claimed I only had 3 in 6 months but thatโ€™s no accurate bc they calls arenโ€™t actually dropped.

Oh, no! Jcasey513, dealing with service issues can be frustrating, especially if you are having calling issues. Verizon is here to help.

What recent changes have you made? Who else is experiencing this problem? Aside from the calls, any other problems?

I am having the same problem with my PIxel 6 Pro, I am on Android 14, DND is not on,  and I have resorted to rebooting my phone daily in an attempt to control the issue.  It has been progressively getting worse the past 2 months.  A family member also has a Kyocera DuraForce Ultra 5G UW that is experiencing the same issue.  But surprisingly the IPhone 13 Pro Max on my plan is not having the issue, so it is safe to assume that this is limited to an Android issue.

-DND not on

-Call forwarding not on

-turned off "Flip to Sshhh"

-All Apps and Operating system are up to date

-No blocked callers

-Reboot daily

Happy to hear thoughts from Verizon before I start to look for another cellphone provider as people that have TMobile and Comcast do not seem to be experience this issue with their android devices.

kkleinfelter, we're sorry to hear that you're having problems with your phone going directly to voicemail. Does this happen to all calls or is it random calls during the day? Do you have Wi-Fi Calling on? Are you able to access your voicemail?

I have the same problem. I went in to each contact and changed route to voicemail to unroute to voicemail. I have not received any calls since I did this so I really don't know if it works. ๐Ÿคž

Hello. If this just started recently for you it might be related to the March 2024 security patch. That introduced a problem where calls and texts stop coming through to your phone; usually when switching from cell data to Wi-Fi or vice versa. You can tell if it's the March security patch issue by restarting your phone, if missed calls and texts start coming through and working again then that's the March security patch issue. If a restart does not help then it is different than the March security patch issue. Google released a second Android April 2024 update a few days agon and this seems to have been targeted to this radio firmware issue. Many people on Reddit have reported the problem no longer exists after the second April 2024 monthly update. My wife's Pixel 7P has not had any missed calls or texts since applying the newest update. Hope this helps.

I have the same exact problem. It's been going on now for over two year. It seems to be when My phone is disconnects for the wifi,  goes to 5g and then reconnects to wifi. For instance, I was connected to the wifi at work last night came home and this morning my phone goes directly to voicemail. I have called support and visited stores to try to get some help.  I simply got told that it's probably my phone case, 5g is very sensitive. Lol  I'm sure that there's more than just a few people that are having this problem. My phone is up to date and I know how do not disturb works.  That's not it.  The first time it happened, I had a note9. I called and complained enough that they sent me a new rerubished note9. That did not solve the problem.  So I went out and bought the new ultra24 And I have the same problem.  Im a business owner and i miss so many important calls.  As soon as my contract's up, I will be leaving verizon and finding a different carrier because this is very frustrating and has yet to be resolved.

Hello, Spindara, we know it's important that you receive your calls! To make sure we're on the same page, are you only missing calls when on WiFi? If so, are you receiving any calls when connected to WiFi? Does this happen when connected to a particular WiFI network or any WiFi network that you are connected to?
