Just got a new Pixel 8 to replace my Pixel 6 Pro. The phone has been very difficult to set up. It took several hours and a couple of calls to Verizon to get it activated. It is working now, and the Pixel 6 Pro has been powered off for days. I cannot receive pictures in text messages. I get a button to download, but tapping it does not bring the picture through. I've looked in the messages settings, but cannot find a setting that seems to be restricting pictures. I have any settings I can find on the least restrictive mode. I have cycles airplane mode and rebooted the phone several times. Anyone have some ideas to try next? Thanks!
We're sorry to read about the issue with receiving picture messages on your new Pixel. Is this through regular MMS or are you using RCS? ~Peter
RCS was on at first. After I was unable to send or receive pictures I turned RCS off. It has not made a difference.
