I bought a Pixel 8 Pro on Ebay and got a new line from Verizon and they locked my phone for 60 days.
The phone turned out to be a Verizon phone but I bought it Carrier Unlocked from a seller n eBay. I chatted with Verizon and they said it's locked for 60 days but it's my property and paid in full.
I requested it to be unlocked and they won't budge.

That's the unlocking policy with Verizon, sorry. At least you didn't get burned with buying a blacklisted Verizon phone like I've seen so many times in these forums.

That's typical carrier policy, you have to wait the 60 days and then they will carrier unlock your phone. This is to prevent people from buying and selling right away on the third party market.

cnavarro7 If you purchased the device from Ebay and it was unlocked, then Verizon would not lock the phone again. Reach out to the seller for assistance with this issue. ~Peter

Another reason to never buy a carrier model phone on eBay, only buy Unlocked models. You never know if the seller bought it at a deep discount, the phone is carrier locked & the seller does not understand that, and then they sell it for profit on eBay. And the buyer is stuck in a giant mess.

From what I've seen in numerous threads, wouldn't recommend buying any phones from an unknown individual or unknown small business. There's no telling what the history of these devices are, so it's caveat emptor big time and a good way to end up with a blacklisted phone which of course cannot be un-blacklisted because the original owner can't be located. And the seller will typically "vanish". At least buying from a large, well known vendor you can get a refund.
