I have a Google pixel 2 xl and have recently been getting this message
talked to the local Verizon store and they said to do a network reset. That fixed it that time but it continues to happen.
It usually lasts 5 to 10 minutes, but can keep me disconnected for several hours.
I've got no idea what's going on, anyone have any ideas?

We want to make sure your service is working properly at all times. Please tell us, does your device have any physical damage? Does this happen while being at a specific location? Are any other devices experiencing the same issue? ~Geo

There is no physical damage to this device. On our plan this is the only device experiencing this issue. Is seemingly happens randomly, not specific to any location. It has happened while I am at home, at work, driving past the Verizon store, and many other places.

Thank you so much for the information, Trollkaan. Please tell us, when did this first start happening? I know you mentioned it was recent, but do you recall making any changes to your phone settings prior to the issue? Is your device software fully up to date?

Hi, the Google Pixel 2 XL reached "end of life" status in October 2023 and is no longer supported by Google. When a device is obsoleted by the manufacturer, it can randomly stop working with a carrier because it may not like current software upgrades. The hardware is also going to die somehow on old phones eventually.
P.S. - This phone does not support 5G of any kind, and with Verizon tweaking things on their network including bringing in more 5G cells on the towers, is going to not work with the phone if the neighborhood towers mostly have 5G cells on them now.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
