After March Android 14 update , my phone has stopped receiving calls or SMS when it is idle for some time. After restart or toggling Airplane mode on/off ( sometimes), everything is back to normal. Phone is at the same spot. Wife's iPhone has no issues in the same location.
A restart corrects the problem for a random length of time.
I have tried any listed "fixes" I could find.
A check on the internet shows that I am not the only on with this issue

Issues with incoming calls and texts can be caused by different factors. However, we are aware that some Pixel users reported issues with their incoming calls and texts, only after installing the March Android software update.
Verizon continues to work closely with Google to help find a solution. Because this issue is impacting Pixel users across different carriers and countries, the best course of action at this time is to complete the recommended troubleshooting provided by Google here: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/2926415?hl=en&sjid=7825872711820421656-NC
Pixel users can also send feedback directly to Google from their phone Settings app to help Google identify any anomalies: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/6398243?sjid=15284194575726809758-NC
Thank you.

I depend on my device on a daily basis, so I know how important it is to have my phone up and running, we'll be glad to help out. What does the signal show on your device when this happens? Did you purchase your device from us directly?

The signal indicator shows half a triangle or 3 out of 5 bars. The phone has been working fine in the same locations prior to the Android 14 March update.

Thanks for those details. You mentioned your wife's phone is working fine. Is she using the same model phone or a different model? Was your phone purchased from Verizon?

Gotcha, we appreciate that information. Are you running into these issues at specific locations or no matter where you go? You mentioned you've tried some troubleshooting steps already. Would you mind letting us know what steps you've completed?

I have restarted the phone numerous times. I have reset the network settings and reviewed and removed any apps that have been added since the Android update in March. The issues also occurs if Wi-Fi calling is off or on.
The problem occurs no matter where the phone is located in my home or in the 3 county area where I work.

I have seen similar posts on Reddit recently. People state that a phone reboot (restart) fixes the problem for a day or so and then it stops receiving calls and texts again. My wife and I both have Pixel 7 Pro's; unlocked model on Verizon. My phone is fine but her phone started to not receive calls or texts recently also. I can't say if it happened right after the March monthly update or not. But if she restarts her phone it will receive calls and texts again for a while. To me this sounds like a Google / Android problem and not Verizon specific. Just my guess.

Oh, wow! Mrsgreyhounds, dealing with phone issues can be frustrating, especially if you are dealing with call issues. Verizon is here to help.
When did the issue start (did it ever work properly)? Aside from the update, any other changes? Aside from the calls, any other problems?

Did you lose some of your data due to the factory reset?
I have the same problem and that's what everybody keeps wanting to do. But my experience has been when I do a factory reset and then it does the restore. Not everything is 100% restored

It is always important to have your phone up and running, and we are always here to help. What does the signal show when this issue happens? What happens when she tries to make a call?

Oh, no! Tom912, being on top of your service is crucial, especially if you are encountering call and text issues. Verizon is here to help.
What exactly happens when you attempt to call or text? Is your data also affected? Aside from the update, any other changes (new phone, relocated, etc.)? Who else is experiencing this problem (other account users, friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, etc.)?

I am also having the same issue. Calls aren't coming through, just straight to voicemail. Sometimes texts don't come through, but will after I restart. Sometimes texts come through fine. It's hard to tell if there is a signal problem at the time someone calls, because I can't tell when they're calling. But it's in places in at all of the time and have never had problems before. I did notice I randomly had no signal for about 10 minutes the other day while I was in the Internet on my phone, then it came back with full service. So it could be intermittent signal loss, but that has never been a problem before.

Did anyone from Verizon read what was posted before? This is affecting users all over the world, not just on Verizon. Verizon network troubleshooting is not going to help.

Yeah, someone from Verizon needs to get off the standard script response flowchart and actually process what customers are saying. This is an issue with the March update, nothing less, nothing more.

I'm having the same problems. Pixel 7 pro, Verizon, physical SIM, US. Calls don't ring and go straight to voicemail. Texts don't come through. Restarts get everything working for a while (I can't tell until someone emails me to say their calls and texts are going unanswered; at which point I do a restart and get a bunch of texts all at once). Outgoing calls and texts work fine. Data is fine.
I spent 45 min with a Google tech support person who wouldn't really help with the cause, instead they had me do the usual steps of resetting the network , turning the SIM off and on, clearing cache on Phone and Messages apps, uninstalling updates to those two apps, etc. After each step, and me telling them I'd done these multiple times in the past week to no avail, they would ask me if my issue was solved. I told them that I wouldn't be able to tell until at least several hours had passed with all my wifes calls getting through, and clear indication that texts were being delivered. They had nothing else for me. I told them many Pixel owners are having the same problem, which anyone could verify by doing a quick Google search, but they weren't interested in that, only getting through the steps their manual indicated they suggest. It was a waste of time.
So no help from Verizon, and no help from Google. What time is it when an update ruins your phone and tech support won't help? Time to get a new phone.

I went through the same process with Google before posting on here.
All the reps on here keep repeating the same things and aren't providing solutions.
I am pretty sure that it's a Google issue but the fact remains that I am a long term Verizon customer that is paying for a service that is not working acceptably.

If it really is a global problem with Pixel 7s after the recent Android updates, then Verizon can't do anything. Have you tried sending a bug report to Google? I've been trying to paste in the link, but I think the forums don't like it for some reason, so use your favorite search engine for "bug report Google Pixel" and the instructions should pop up right away.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

True, there might be nothing Verizon reps can do directly? Maybe? But what they can do is stop asking the same coolie cutter questions from a flowchart script and help determine if this really is a Google Android problem, or something else. And Verizon tech support can contact Google support in ways we cannot, and say "hey, we are receiving issue reports for Pixel phones on Verizon with issues receiving calls and texts when switching from Wi-Fi back to cell and vice versa..."
