I just upgraded from Pixel 4a to Pixel 8. Like many people complaints, I am no longer able to choose an LTE network vs. the default 5G one. How can I change it back to LTE please? I'm with Verizon.

You cannot do that from within the phone's Settings. Verizon does not allow that option in Settings; we used to be able to do that but not anymore. You can switch to LTE within the dialer menu diagnostics if you know which option to select. See this thread for more details and how to use the dialer menu:

Have the same issue. In the dialer, I typed *#*#4636#*#* and it brought me to a list of different networks. Mine was automatically set to NR/LTE/GSM/WCDMA. I changed it to GSM/WCDMA/LTE (PRL). So far, it seems to be working at keeping my phone in LTE only.
