I bought a phone through Amazon, mentioning that it was unlocked, but as of today, it has been blocked by Verizon, can something be done in this situation?

If the phone is simply locked to Verizon's network, it might be possible to get it unlocked, but if it's been blacklisted, the only way to get that undone is if the original owner asks to have the blacklisting removed. Your best bet is probably to return the phone and have Amazon refund you.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

leo5000, we are sorry to read that you are experiencing issues with the device that you purchase from Amazon. We are unable to unlock devices purchased from 3rd Parties. We would recommend reaching out to Amazon in order to contact the seller. The original owner of the device would have to contact Verizon regarding a device that was associated with their account.

Hello leo500. Devices that you purchase from Verizon are locked for 60 days after purchase. Devices that you purchase from our retail partners are locked for 60 days after activation. After 60 days, we will automatically remove the lock. Following the 60-day lock period, we do not lock our phones at any time.
