i have a thunderbolt and found for the last 5 days, that the data signal has not been consistent. i get 10-20 drops a day, but prior to that everything was just fine. i've read a lot of people are experiencing this...but still no resolution.
i also noticed that the location of my ip address is somewhere in kansas, i'm from san diego and my ip address location is usually in los angeles. could this be the problem?

from what you all are describing, it sounds like something on verizon's end. they may be working on towers in the area or something. i would do what spotlady mentined, and force it to 3g for a few days. check it in a few days and see if it works properly again. if not, call verizon to find out if there are issues in your area.

Same issue here in Santa Cruz, CA. It seems like it mostly happens when I'm at home, but for the past 3-4 weeks, I ave had constant data drop. Any ideas? Is it worth my time to call Verizon, or do they just not give 2 sh*ts? This is really frustrating and I don't know what to do. Just moved from T-Mobile to Big Red last December because of the improved coverage and phone signals, but If I had known I would have this many issues, I make have just stayed with Big Pink. Does ANYBODY have ANY suggestions?

I'm also having the same problem. I just got my phone and Im on my 1st replacement. Its not the phone or the sim card. I'm from Chula Vista basically San Diego. I called in customer service and they made me do the basic troubleshooting. I thought it was an app causing this problem but its not. I even disabled my GPS and its still not working. 4G LTE logo changes from blue to white and when it changes to white that's when all this data disconnection starts going on.
