I've recently had the message: Data connectivity Problem. The server failed to communicate. Is there a setting that I've '(deleted content per VZW ToS)' up or is this a Verizon thing?

It's a VZ thing. Many TB owners, including me, have the same problem. Get your phone replaced if you have insurance. The new one will do the same thing but there is hope you will get upgraded to a onex or something.
The only time I have connection issue with the Tbolt or the Nexus is the month or two before a network expansion in my area.
