Facebook issues??

Is anyone having troubles with Facebook?  For the past 3 days, my FB takes forever to load (if it does at all), and when it does finally get to the page, none of the posting pictures are shown.  I am also getting alot of "lost connection" errors when trying to load/refresh.  I have taken the battery out, cleared the cache and history, and reinstalled 3x.  Nothing is working.  Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions??  Thanks!

YES! I'm having the exact same issues; Droid Bionic. Since about last Tuesday. I stopped into the Verizon store up the street and the woman there said she was having the same problem; they had called and reported it but support said there were no known issues. I called support today and spoke with a level 2 rep who told me they think it's a problem with the latest Facebook update. What's odd, is that FB works fine over wifi -- the problems are only over the cell network. Which means it's likely a bug in the app with how it handles data over the cell vs wifi. Hopefully it will be addressed in another update -- and hopefully soon.

I'm experiencing these issues too. I'm pretty sure it is an Android/Verizon problem. Facebook on my Android is pretty much unusable at this point. I have an iPhone as a backup which is also on Verizon and it appears unaffected. It's very frustrating.

I recently started having the same problem on my Bionic. I hope Facebook/Verizon addresses this. It does not matter if I am using the app or the browser.

The actual Facebook app is a horrendous one. Unfortunately, the 3rd party apps that were doing well have faltered. My favorite "go to" 3rd party app was FriendCaster. It was a phenomenal replacement for Facebook but then they started doing some updates & it went into the toilet. Seesmic is one of the better "up & coming" ones I think.  Some people prefer TweetDeck but I don't care for that one except when my TweetCaster or Twitter apps aren't working.   (Then again, I have a pathetic little Droid2, so my apps don't work half the time it seems. LOL)

Thanks everyone for your posts. I have experienced similar issues on my own device thru the Browser itself. Since this issue only affects Facebook and not other websites or web-based apps, it appears to be an issue with Facebook Mobile. This does seem to have started after a recent update. This issue has been previously reported to Facebook, but I would continue to alert Facebook so they have more examples. If you are having problems with the application specifically and are using the app Facebook for Android, you can send an email to android-support@fb.com. You can find developer info for other applications by going to the PlayStore and choosing developer information.

I hope this helps!

The Facebook app in the Android market is junk. It chews up battery time with endless updates, does not display properly, on the screen, and lacks many features you find on the desktop/laptop edition.  I use Seesmic as a third party app to access Facebook. It does pretty well and without the "drama" of the original.

Also, if you remove the branded version of Facebook from your phone, but still want to share photos or links on Facebook, you will find something called HTC Facebook embedded in the phone which will do this for you.  Or you can go to the Facebook page via the mobile browser.

FB said in its SEC filing for its gazilion billion IPO that is doesn't have a mobile strategy, and it shows. I will add that if there was some adult supervision at FB, it would be able to deploy a reliable, attractive APP for Android.  It's like the restaurant business in a way.  An eatery that can't put a sandwich on the customer's table in 15 min at lunch time is a business that is going out of business.
